2021 Annual General Meeting & "Poetic Finale" by Mirela Xhaferraj

Dear AAA Member,

Welcome to our 2021 Annual General Meeting which is being held via Zoom.  We are starting at 6pm and aim to finish before 7pm when our "Poetic Finale" begins.

Our AGM programme will run from 6pm as follows:

-  Reports on AAA activities to 2021 AGM from:

During the year, two valued Board members, Alison Carter and Patrick Wilson, stood down from the Board, and  I have expressed our thanks to them in my Report to this Meeting.  Fjoralba Miraka remains on the Board, but does not need to stand this year for re-election, having been co-opted by the Board during 2020 and her position on the Board (for 3 years)  having been  ratified at the 2020 AGM ( which was held on 29 September 2020).

Hon Sec Patricia Swire will oversee the voting with assistance from Board members.

7pm  "Poetic Finale"

There will be a recital of Albanian poetry, curated and presented by Dr Mirela Xhaferraj of the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES).  The readings will be given in the Albanian language by Albanian and British poetry enthusiasts, with the English text or summary of the poems provided on screen.
