Forestry in Albania, a talk by Roland Lleshi

Dear Members, Friends

Our last talk before the summer break will be a Zoom talk on Forestry in Albania to be held on Thursday 15 July, starting at 6pm (London time).

Our speaker is Roland Lleshi of the PPNEA (Protection and Preservation of Natural Environment in Albania). This is the first time we have scheduled a talk on Forestry in Albania, and so our speaker will give a descriptive introduction (with illustrations), and then focus on the problems which can arise including the commercial felling of trees and failure to implement legislation designed to protect and preserve.  He will also introduce us to the flora and fauna of the Albanian forests (he is an expert on Albanian birdlife).

After months of lockdown and quarantining, do take this opportunity to be guided through the forests of Albania!

AAA members should be aware that the Association's Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 29 September (details to follow).
