Lea Ypi, Professor in Political Theory at the LSE, will talk about her "philosophical memoir" entitled 'Free: Coming of Age at the End of History'.  In the book she tells of the affect on her of growing up in Enver Hoxha's Albania.

Lea Ypi is Professor in Political Theory at the London School of Economics and Political Scienceand Honorary Professor in Philosophy at the Australian National University. She is the author of Global Justice and Avant-Garde Political Agency, The Meaning of Partisanship (with Jonathan White), The Architectonic of Reason, allpublished by Oxford University Press. Her latest book, a philosophical memoir entitled Free: Coming of Age at the End of History published by Penguin Press was recently shortlisted for the Baillie Gifford Prize, the Costa Prize, the Ondaatje Prize and won the Slightly Foxed First Biography Award. It is being translated into twenty languages.
