Dear AAA Member and friends,
We have pleasure in inviting you to the AAA's first event of the New Year: an illustrated Zoom talk on "The Bird Population of Albania" to be given on 18 January 2024, starting at 6pm London time/7pm Tirana time. This will be given by Zydjon Vorpsi, a senior member of the PPNEA (Protection and Preservation of the Natural Environment in Albania). This talk follows his previous one on the protection and preservation of the bird population.

A century ago, the British naturalist, Richard Lodge would publish the first pictures of his discovery in Albania; the Dalmatian pelican colony in Divjaka-Karavasta. 100 years later, the colony is still nesting there, surviving throughout continuous threats and rapid development.
